We're having a...

              GIRL!

I'm so excited to add some extra pink, lace and frills around here!

Perfect Addition to our little family :-)

And before you ask...No, we haven't decided on a name as of yet.

And you can thank all of the Grandparents for that one!

We have picked out several names, but alas they were not favorites among the grandparents...
(but lets be honest we're probably not going to listen anyway! Sorry Mama!)

So far so good in terms of the baby, they were unable to get a good picture of her heart at the last ultrasound due to how she was laying so we have another one scheduled in a few weeks.

As of the last check-up, she's due February 7th.

However, the doctor has already stated that she is recommending a 39 week delivery. So we will get to see this little angel that much sooner!

No having to wait like with Kyler!

Can you tell how excited I am for my
little Princess!?!

Pinterest!

Like everyone else, at least all the women I know, I am slightly obsessed with Pinterest. There are just so many amazing ideas and things that I want to try and do in my house, if I only had the free time to spare. But I finally was so inspired by one of the posts to actually go out buy the materials and FINISH a project. I know, right?! Must've been a really good idea... so here is my FIRST completed Pinterest Project (and hopefully not my last!)

The Idea: Bookshelves at Kyler's level made from Ikea Spice Racks. Based on the instructions: they come plain and you have to paint them the desired color, assemble them, get the drywall anchors and the mount them. Seemed easy enough.

A few hiccups and paint snafus but I finally finished and I'm pretty pleased with the outcome!

Only Problem: I haven't rearranged the room yet for our new arrival and Kyler can reach the left 2 shelves from his crib and pulled out ALL those books this morning! Whoops.

Kyler is 15 Months!

I can't believe it! My little baby is NOT a little baby anymore. He is QUITE the little man. And he is SOO funny. He does things just to make you laugh. Such a ham!

Milestones:
--He is walking and running and my almost-6-months-pregnant-self can BARELY keep up!
--He feeds himself with a spoon or the spoon and hand approach (adorable)
And much to my delight he's not very picky (unlike his father) :-)
--He says Dad and Dada and has said Mama a few times but no other words yet but he babbles ALL the time! As soon as he gets those words figured out he's going to be a talking machine!

Kyler's New Snack/Arts Table
--He understand SOO much it's truly AMAZING. My favorite that happened this week, he picked up the dogs rawhide bone and I said "Kyler that's for the dog, go give it to Xena" and sure enough to my amazement he turned around and gave Xena the bone right in her mouth! I was shocked! I looked at Alex and he said I can't believe that just happened! Which makes me even more frustrated when I say "Ky, come back here with that!" and he runs away faster! Little booger.

He's just an all-around amazing kid. He's so smart and so well-behaved. I just hope he stays this way because if this pregnancy is any indication, this new little one is going to be a HANDFUL!

He's doing wonderfully in his swimming lessons at Grandma's and as long as it stays warm we'll be able to continue swimming for quite awhile!

I can't believe I get to be this little man's Mama! I'm so lucky!

Here we are again...

Giving blogging another try... there are just too many things that happen that I want to share!

Exciting News in the Gaughan household! We are expecting again! Wahoo!

Not due until February 7th, which feels like FOREVER away... But I think with how fast the holiday season always flies by and I think he/she might come sooner than I realize! Officially in the 14th week now so we are going to try the "Early Gender Ultrasound" on Thursday! But our official ultrasound isn't until the second week in September but we CANNOT wait that long! We want to know-- are we welcoming another boy to the Gaughan family or finally will there be a girl to break the boy streak!?!? So nervous and excited! I can not wait! Alex, of course wants another boy... in fact I'm pretty sure he would be happy with ONLY boys! I'm happy either way just as long as the morning sickness starts to subside and the baby is healthy. We had a bit of a scare on vacation but we're back home now and everything is right on track!

Can't believe we are going to be parents again. Its a miracle and we are so blessed! Kyler is used to being the center of attention, so that should be interesting but I think he'll be an awesome big brother!
Well stay tuned for the update from the ultrasound! Less than a week........did I mention I'm excited?!?!!
